On June 20, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washingt

On June 20, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) hosted their 7th Annual BlueFest fundraising gala that provided an inside look at BGCGW Clubs and programming. Chaired by Barbara Hawthorn, president of Barbara Hawthorn Interiors, our sold-out event, held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center netted over $950,000!
During the event, guests also had the unique opportunity to observe BGCGW youth creating podcasts, building Battlebots and expressing themselves through art in the "Chill Out Corner." In addition, youth recounted their Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation Summit experiences from the past week.
Program highlights included a powerful speech by 2022 National Youth of the Year, Asha Haddox-Rossiter, and special guests Washington Mystics Point Guard Ariel Atkins and WASH-FM radio host Toby Knapp.
